Pet Portrait Artist Now Featured
Bright colors and bold shapes define Georgia Lawson’s works of art that are presently being featured in the Boulder City Art Gallery. The talented, effervescent Ms. Lawson enjoys working in watercolor, oils and occasionally does pen and ink drawings. Her subject matter varies from

landscapes, still-life, and abstracts to scenic ocean pictures. The most widely acclaimed of her work is the paintings of animals. She has had many requests to do pictures of pets and is presently taking commissions for pet portraits.
Georgia was born and raised in California. She moved to the art community of Corvallis, Oregon in 1994, and was then inspired to go back to her roots in art. With encouragement from her artist mother, she took many classes over the years developing her skills and a strong love for “having fun with color,” a mantra she adheres to today.
Georgia loves helping people discover their inner artist and the joy of painting. She is a painting instructor at Desert Art Supplies also the Whitney Ranch and Multigenerational Recreational Centers in Henderson.
Her work will be featured at the Boulder City Art Gallery during the months of October, November and December. There will be a reception for Georgia on October 15th from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Georgia will be present for visitors to talk about her art and she will be able to help anyone interested in having their pet portrait painted. Refreshment will be served throughout the day. All interested in meeting Georgia are invited to attend.
