You have asked for it, so we are going to give it another try. “IT” is a book sale, being held Friday and Saturday, April 19th and 20th. The Rotary Club of Boulder City and the Boulder City Library will be teaming up to hold a book sale at the Library. Proceeds from the book sale will benefit the Library’s Summer Reading Program as well as literacy programs supported by the Rotary Club of Boulder City.
We still need your help! How? I have a list:
First, donate your used books for the sale. Drop your donations off at the Library. Because they don’t sell well at book sales, we won’t be accepting text books, Readers Digest Condensed Books, Encyclopedia sets, VHS tapes, cassette tapes, or magazines. If you bring your books to the Library on Sunday or Monday, April 14th and 15th, you will receive a voucher to come to the preview sale on Thursday, April 18th.
Second, volunteer to help. We need people to help with set-up Sunday through Wednesday, the preview sale on Thursday, the sale on Friday and Saturday, and with clean-up on Sunday, April 21st. To volunteer, please call me at the Boulder City Library, (702)293-1281.
Third, donate boxes and bags. We need boxes and bags so people can carry off the treasures they find at the sale. Boxes and paper bags are especially helpful because books can be heavy!
Fourth, come to the book sale and Buy, Buy, Buy!!!
What was that about a “preview sale?” If you just can’t wait until Friday to start looking at the books for sale, we are offering a preview on Thursday, April 18th, from 1pm until 8:15pm that night. There is a fee of $5.00 to attend the preview before everyone else gets to look. However, people who donate books on Sunday and Monday of the week and all the volunteers for the sale will receive a voucher to get into the preview for free. Regular prices still apply.
For more information about the sale, making donations, or volunteering, please give me a call at the Library, or drop me an email at: email@example.com
