Art in the Park

Boulder City Hospital Foundation will be bringing their 52nd Annual Art in the Park to downtown Boulder City this October 4th and 5th and will run from 9am to 5pm each day. Held the first weekend of October, Art in the Park is a Boulder City tradition that goes hand in hand with the onset of the fall season. Since 1962, Art in the Park has been the place for art lovers of all ages.

Art in the Park is one of the city's largest events and has the distinction of being the largest outdoor juried art festival in the southwest, drawing up to 100,000 visitors. First through third place ribbons are awarded in Fine Art, Fine Craft and Traditional Craft categories, as well as an overall "Best in Show" winner.

The festival brings to the city hundreds of artists and craftsmen, plus entertainment and food, all taking place over several of our downtown parks. At Bicentennial Park, the gazebo stage will provide ongoing entertainment both days of the festival.

Available items for purchase range from traditional to fine art, along with dozens of craft booths full of one of a kind and unusual and interesting items.

Art in the Park is the main fund-raising event for the Boulder City Hospital Foundation, with funds directly supporting Boulder City's local hospital. An important part of contributing to the foundation is the involvement of each participating artist. One piece of work is donated by each artist for the Art in the Park raffle. Visitors can purchase tickets for the raffle during both days of the event. What a great way to support a wonderful cause and acquire a piece of art at the same time!

Enjoying the refreshments will be half the fun with over 25 unique food choices from Mexican, Italian and Chinese, to hot dogs and burgers. Plus the typical fun sweets such as kettle corn, funnel cakes and ice cream. Plus "adult" beverage offerings–beer, wine, mimosas, bloody marys, margaritas and more. Come ring in the fall season and pick up some early holiday gifts, all the while supporting a very important cause. For more information, visit: www.boudercityhospital.org
