The affair includes many noted regional artists plus art students and instructors from the Boulder City Art Center. Monies earned from the event benefits the Boulder City Art Center. Scholarships are created from the money raised, going to promising art students in need of assistance to pay for classes at the Center.
Winter Fest features one-of-a-kind items produced by local artists and craftsmen. They include handcrafted jewelry, sculpture, glass art, metal work, pottery, paintings, photography, fabric art and more. Christmas being just around the corner, the show will be a good time for folks to get a head start on their Christmas lists and help the BC Art Center as well.
The admission is free and there will be drawings for free prizes, donated by the artists, on the hour every hour during the festival.
“Since this is an indoor show, the atmosphere is warm and cozy. It is an ideal time to meet local artists, see their work and perhaps get a head start on your Christmas shopping,” states artist and show director Aileen Dike.
Noted local professional artists Rainer Bertrams, Wendy Monahan, Linda Whitehair, Dotty Fenner, Aileen Dike, Eleanor Beckert and Ed Klein are among the contributors signed up for the show.
“What better way to get into the Christmas Spirit!” says participating fabric artist, Eleanor Beckert.
