Enticing New Classes

March marks the beginning of the spring-summer season for the Boulder City Parks and Recreation Department. Along with our continuing classes, we are pleased to announce three new Special Interest Classes.

Zumba is a fusion of Latin and International music that creates a dynamic, exciting, and effective fitness system. Zumba is sweeping the nation with a wide range of enthusiastic students. With Zumba, you can ditch the workout and join the party! You’re sure to have a good time and great workout with certified Zumba Instructor Shannon Pinard as you engage in class instruction at your own pace.

For our horseback-riding followers, classes are now offered at an intermediate level. This class takes basic horseback riding skills to the next level along with developing strong groundwork. Instructor Steven Housley has formal training from the school of Parelli Natural Horsemanship.

Expanding our class offerings to preschool age children, Brandi Andrews offers pre-ballet and beginning ballet classes. Classes are available for ages 3 and up. The Wednesday morning class is scheduled at a time so that as students increase their stamina, they can also join the Gymnastics class that immediately follows Pre-ballet. Combined, these two classes will build a strong foundation for lifelong success in dance and sports.
