A Great Place to Live

We all know that Boulder City is a great place to live. We’re a unique City that through careful planning and community participation has remained largely unchanged over the years. Everywhere I go, people in our community tell me how much they love Boulder City. I couldn’t agree more.

However, Boulder City is important not only to us, but to millions of other people throughout our state and throughout the Southwest.

As the birthplace of Hoover Dam and Lake Mead, we are literally built upon foundations that are part of our nation’s history. We are an important gateway to all of Southern Nevada.

The conservation easement we helped establish in the Eldorado Valley has literally allowed Clark County to grow and to receive significant benefits from that growth for many years.
We quickly are becoming the solar capital of the country. We have put into practice what other communities are still debating and hoping for. Energy transmission for much of the Southwest comes right through Eldorado Valley.

We have had influential community members play key roles in the planning and economics of our state for many decades.

We provide a world-class recreational environment. We have protected our water resource in Boulder City, and haven’t grown at a rate that increased the burden on the state.
Boulder City has always tried to be self-sufficient while being engaged with solutions for the region through our participation in boards and committees.

I am proud of our community, and consider it a great honor to be the Mayor of this City.
I am also very passionate about preserving what we have here for future generations by ensuring Boulder City continues to be recognized, appreciated, protected and provided for.

Let us stay focused on Boulder City’s strengths and work together to find solutions to our challenges.
