Google TV is a hardware system that works with your TV. It will also work with dish and cable boxes. Some of the new TVs will actually come with Google TV built in. With Google TV, you will be able to search for a TV show just like web searching, find it, and then tell it to record the show. It will save recordings to your DVR (Digital Video Recorder), to be viewed when you are ready.

Google TV uses an android operating system so you can use the apps from your smart phone on your Google TV. Programmers are now working on custom apps for you to use. One app will let you transfer what you are viewing on your smart phone WiFi to the Google TV and view it on the big screen.
