Bookmarks are place holders for the addresses of the web pages that you like to visit often, or you would like to remember. Bookmarks make it as easy as one click to visit your favorite places on the internet. You should back up all of your Bookmarks so you can install them again if you have a computer problem. I use Mozilla Firefox. From Firefox click on “bookmarks,” then “All Bookmarks.” This will save the toolbar menu and Bookmarks. Then click “Import and Backup,” then “Backup.” This will save a file to your desktop named bookmarks-2010-07-19.json. You can save it anywhere you like at this time. That’s it. You saved your Bookmarks. To restore them, click on “bookmarks,” then click on “Import and Backup,” then “restore.” You will see a list of dates of past saves or you can pick “choose file” and click on the one you just saved. Now they are restored! You will want to save this small file on a CD or DVD just in case.
