Changing Seasons
Halloween parties are a lot of fun. One of my friends that lives here in Yankton threw a Halloween party and I had a blast. I didn’t win the costume contest though, but that’s okay. I ate, danced with my friends, and almost ruined my costume!

Here in Yankton, it rains a lot in November. It even rained a lot in October. It recently rained for 4 days straight! I think we got about 4 or 5 inches. It is so beautiful after it rains, everything is really, really green and the sky is a little gray. I know this sounds funny but when it rains here, everyone is inside saying how bad it is but back home in Nevada everyone is outside enjoying the rain! I think lightning is beautiful! It is really bright, it’s almost like you are a celebrity walking down the red carpet with everyone flashing cameras in your face. I think thunder is really loud, it actually shakes our house!
Having to go from fall to winter is really neat also. It’s awesome looking at all the trees turning different colors. Not all of the leaves are off the trees yet and it hasn’t started to snow, but I know it will soon. I am really excited to go snowboarding again. I didn’t get to do it last winter because we had lots to do, especially during our big move! I still don’t know for sure if we will be able to do it this year because of my mom’s brand new online bridal shop, www.karynsbridal.com, but you never know!
My two brothers, David and Robert, came up here to South Dakota for a few weeks. I was so happy to see them again. I actually missed them! While they were up here, they saw a lot of our grandma and grandpa. One of my brothers spends the night at their house while my other brother sleeps in a hotel. While my brothers were here visiting, we went to a whole bunch of restaurants. We went to the Black Steer (a yummy steak place), Charlie’s Pizza (a good pizza house), and The Water Front (a delicious sea food restaurant). I really miss my two brothers and can’t wait to see them again!
