Treasured Times Teahouse
Becoming a business owner in Boulder City came to me out of a huge desire to create, own and operate my own business. I also admired all the women business owners in Boulder City. I am constantly inspired by Karen (Periwinkle Cottage), Krishun and Bridget (Grandma Daisy’s), Glenna (Back in Thyme), Cristina (Cristina’s Treasures), Sondra (Zagas), Nanci and now Merry (Fiddlesticks). The list goes on and on.

I was inspired to open a teahouse because I found the time honored ritual of having tea very appealing. Appealing because of the way it almost forces you to slow down, take a moment, enjoy and relax. There are no to go cups at Treasured Times Teahouse, only fine china teacups that clink with the stirring of the spoon. A sound that is quite relaxing. Being able to offer an atmosphere where friends and family can gather and create special memories is very rewarding. It is also great for all of us at our Teahouse because our customer’s special memories also become ours.

The tea we serve at Treasured Times Teahouse comes from Elmwood Inn Fine Teas. This is a US based company where I participated in a 3 day seminar relating to tea, tea products and running a teahouse. Bruce and Shelly Richardson, owners of Elmwood Inn Fine Teas, owned and operated a teahouse in Perryville, Kentucky for 15 years before they became tea distributors. They have written many books including the Great Tearooms of Britain and the Great Tearooms of America. We carry their books as well as many varieties of their tea. Besides the books and teas we also have beautiful teapots and teacups, vintage dresses and fancy hats. Our menu is a traditional afternoon tea, consisting of tea sandwiches, scones, mini muffins and sweet treats.

I have lived in Boulder City with my husband and children for the last 16 years. I am lucky to call Boulder City my home. I can now say I am very fortunate to be a business owner here and look forwarding to creating many special memories with all my customers.
