4th of July - It Feels Good!
The 4th of July Damboree Parade was fantastic. Each year, the Boulder City Parks and Recreation Department kids look forward to this cherished day.

The Boulder City Parks and Recreation Department had several entries this year including one large entry with the Youth Center, Summer Parks Safekey, gymnastics and cheerleading programs. There were two other entries with the Boulder City Henderson Swim Team and a ball team.

The tradition of the Parks and Recreation 4th of July entry is something that dates back to when my kids were little and even back to when I was little.

Being a part of the parades are some of my kids’ fondest memories. In fact, at ages 16, 19 and 21, all three of my daughters participated in the parade this year. It goes to show you that the activities we involve our children in carry over to their adulthood.

If we want our children to be productive adults by participating in their community, the foundation is laid early in their lives. The Boulder City Parks and Recreation Department helps young people become community minded individuals. Youths who participate in the 4th of July parade will have a stronger tie to Boulder City for their involvement.

Making children feel good is what the Parks and Recreation Department and the Damboree Celebration is all about!
