What Is Jazzercise?
I hear it all the time, “Jazzercise… is that still around? I thought that was an 80’s thing.” Well, yes, it was an 80’s thing and a 90’s thing and a thing for the new millennium. In fact, Jazzercise is celebrating its 35th year this month. That is a pretty amazing number of years in these days of fitness fads, and I know how it came to be. It’s really quite simple: Jazzercise is fun, it’s hip, and it works!
Jazzercise is a blend of cardiovascular conditioning, strength training and stretching. These 3 things form the backbone of any good exercise program. Add fun, top 40 music. Add a fusion of the current fitness trends such as kickboxing and pilates. Top it off with a philosophy that believes that fitness is an important aspect of well-being and enhances the overall quality of people’s lives and you’ve got the best fitness program around.
In every Jazzercise class taught, each instructor draws upon the Jazzercise vision to provide the most complete fitness program available. We strive to educate our clients about the physical and emotional benefits of Jazzercise. We incorporate our own passion and enthusiasm to motivate others to improve and maintain healthy ways of living. We listen to what people want and need in terms of their individual goals. We try to make a real difference in people’s lives. It’s these things that have made Jazzercise the world’s leading dance-fitness program. It’s these things that have kept me in this business for nearly 10 years. It’s these things that have compelled some of my clients to attend more than 700 of my classes. This program has helped millions of people of all ages and fitness levels reach and maintain their fitness goals and improve their overall well-being.
I invite every reader to attend one of my classes for free. I offer 9 classes a week including 3 different formats: Jazzercise, Jazzercise Lite, and Body Sculpting. I also offer Personal Touch, a more personalized work-out that will help take you to the next fitness level. All classes are conveniently located inside Dance Etc., 525 Hotel Plaza.
