Save the date – Duffy Hudson will once again grace our meeting room with his presence! This actor, director, writer, and filmmaker will perform A Christmas Carol on Saturday, December 17th, at 1pm. If you haven’t seen Duffy perform over the past few years, don’t miss this opportunity! His one man performance will last approximately 75 minutes, and without the use of props or costumes, he will bring each of the 36 characters to life. Bring the whole family for an afternoon filled with the holiday spirit!
Due to popular demand, we will once again be offering a book display titled “Unwrap a Good Book.” The display will contain adult and young adult books wrapped like gifts to conceal any cover details. You will find only a short description of the item to determine if it’s a good choice for you. This is a fun way to choose a title by its description alone and not at all by the cover! Have a little fun with it!
We will be updating our magazine collection! We renew the subscriptions and add new ones at the end of each year. You now have the opportunity to make suggestions for a magazine you would like to see us carry. You can find signs in the magazine area requesting submissions, as well as the form on which to make the request. Submit your recommendations to the Circulation Desk.
Nevada Reads is back this year with a statewide author visit program. We are lucky to have Mark Maynard join us for a reading and discussion of his book titled Grind on Saturday, February 4th, 2017 at 11am. We currently have several copies of Grind, so stop in soon to check out your copy today!
