29th Annual Boulder City Art Guild Fine Arts Festival

The artists are coming! The artists are coming! On Saturday, April 12th and Sunday, April 13th over a hundred artists will be at Boulder City’s Bicentennial Park for the 29th Annual Fine Arts Festival! Don’t miss this wonderful festival, featuring a variety of artists displaying, demonstrating and selling their amazing artwork. Jewelry, photography, wood working, metal works, fine art and collage are just a sampling of the special pieces that can be viewed, along with their creator, and purchased during the festival.

This is a juried show, meaning that in order for the art to be accepted, it must meet a high standard of criteria. Due to the quality of work, many awards will be given for two-dimensional and three-dimensional art as well as special Art Guild awards and honorary mentions for Southwest themed art and photography. “Featured Artists” this year are photographer, Brianna Gray, and oil painter, Karen Petrovich. Be sure to check out their remarkable work while at the festival.

For the first time, the Festival will have a special area for the children, offering hands-on art for the youth. All presented by ThinkArt, a creative organization for Nevada artists and youths. Featured musical performers for the weekend will be Michael and Billy O., providing live entertainment from the Bicentennial Stage three times daily: noon, 2:00pm and 4:00pm. And don’t forget the food! On hand will be food trucks with pulled pork & pastramis, booths with funnel cake, special coffees, and more, all at great prices.

The Fine Arts Festival has been bringing quality artists and their works to Boulder City for over 28 years. Don’t miss this important event, where over 130 Southwest area artists can all be seen in one place.

Profits from the Boulder City Art Guild’s Annual Fine Arts Festival provide funding for student scholarships. The Guild awards scholarships to high school seniors who are furthering their education in the arts. Over the years, thousands of dollars have been awarded in order to assist them in their academic endeavors.

The festival is free to attend and runs from 10:00am through 5:00pm both days. For further information, call the Boulder City Art Guild at (702) 293-2138.
