I worked across the hall from Anne for the last two years at Nevada State College. She was a delightful person, dedicated to her job and the students at NSC. Her job description probably did not come close to defining the various roles she filled within the School of Education at NSC. She advised students, updated web page content, organized events, developed program assessments, organized social media, took photographs, and among other things, served as the education honor society advisor. Her door was consistently open to students and she was effective in all that she did.
I was saddened to hear that she was leaving NSC but very pleased to learn that she was joining the staff at St. Jude’s Ranch. Her talents will be utilized well, and I am confident she will have a positive impact on the children and the entire St. Jude’s community. Their mission is to serve all abused, abandoned, and neglected children and families, creating new chances, new choices, and new hope in a safe, homelike environment.
In her role, Anne will be responsible for fundraising efforts in Nevada with a focus on individual donors as well as enterprise-wide initiatives including the Direct Mail Program, Ambassador Program, the Ranch Roundup Newsletter, and the annual report.
Christine J. Spadafor, CEO of St. Jude’s Ranch, notes, “With Anne’s background, professionalism and drive, and her belief in our mission, vision, and core values, we are delighted to have her join the Ranch family.”
I too am delighted that Anne is at the Ranch. She not only has the talents to succeed but her heart and caring attitude will drive her success.
