The Homestead at Boulder City

As soon as you walk through the doors, you’ll experience a difference at The Homestead at Boulder City Assisted Living and Memory Care, Volunteers of America’s premier property. There is the warmth of home mixed with a caring, friendly environment.

According to Joyce de Haas, The Homestead’s Executive Director since 2000, “We are delighted to give people a tour to show off our resort-style community, and to demonstrate what Assisted Living is really like. Folks are pleasantly surprised by what they see and experience here.”

Seniors often wait too long to make the move and then doctors and family members must step in and make the decisions for them. It’s better when the resident can make their own decision and choose the type of apartment and services they want and make the transition on their terms.

One of the amazing things about The Homestead is that there is so much value packed into such a competitive price, and the apartment can be filled with all of your favorite and comfortable things from home. The on-site amenities include 24-hour RN staff, a beauty salon, social groups, non-denominational worship services, an interactive touch-screen media and gaming system, a recreation center, live entertainment, weekly housekeeping and laundry service, and three nutritious and delicious meals daily in an elegant dining room. All of this is provided with the goal of enhancing each resident’s quality of life.

The Life Enrichment Staff carefully plans a full calendar of activities, outings and entertainment around the interests and requests of the residents. It includes activities designed to care for the whole person, spiritually, physically, mentally.
