4th Annual Best Dam BBQ - May 23-24, 2008

The Rotary Club of Boulder City, established in 1937, is pleased to announce the 4th Annual Best Dam Barbecue on May 23 and 24, 2008. This event will be held on Colorado Street as well as abutting areas.

If you enjoyed the last three events, you have not seen anything yet. Not only will you have the opportunity to feast upon some of the best dam barbecue around, but you will also be able to purchase our own Private Label, Best Dam Barbecue Sauce. Not only is it great barbecue sauce but it bears the Official Rotary International, as well as the Rotary Club of Boulder City’s, logo. We look forward to hearing your feedback on this great sauce.

In addition to great sauce and barbecue, we also have a great band on hand for Friday and Saturday nights. Venturing to Boulder City from Petaluma California is the band Little Sister who will provide a variety of musical entertainment for all in attendance. We also will be offering skate boarding demonstrations as well as wakeboarding demonstrations for those outdoor sporting enthusiasts.

Of course all of this would not be possible nor would it be worthy without a cause. This year, like in years past, the monies will go to fund all of the great work done by the Rotary Club of Boulder City. This ranges from mini-grants to teachers in need of additional monies in the classroom, to scholarships for local youth entering into college, to yard clean-ups for those in need who are unable to complete the projects themselves.

Most importantly, this year the Rotary Club is committed to keeping our youth safe and aware of the consequences of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The Rotary Club of Boulder City has committed to fully funding the “Every 15 Minutes” Program at the High School. This two-day action packed program clearly depicts the consequences of driving while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. Rotary is the proud sponsor of this event and we look forward to making a difference in the lives of Boulder City Youth.
