What’s a great way to navigate the strip to pick up the tickets and get to the show or dinner? Experience Las Vegas Monorail’s air-conditioned comfort along a seven station, 4 mile route! Neat Nevada Notes: Fallon is home to the Hearts O’ Gold Cantaloupe Festival August 29 through September 1 at the Churchill County Fairgrounds. Saturday’s Cantaloupe Chunking competition is an event highlight! Incorporated in 1908, Fallon at one time distributed their famous golden melons cross-country. Sixty miles east of Reno on Highway 50, Fallon is the last stop eastward for 110 miles until you reach Austin.
