Meditation for Pregnant Women
Come into a comfortable position resting on your side. Support your head with a blanket, a pillow, or with your arm. Bend your knees to release your lower back. Place a folded blanket or a small pillow between your knees. Use a blanket or pillow to support your belly. Take a little time to get comfortable.

Let the weight of your body relax into the support of the earth. Let the earth, our mother, hold you for a while. Know that this is your time to rest and replenish, know that you are completely safe.

Check in with your body and begin to notice any areas that feel a sense of tightness or gripping. Notice that as you begin to bring your awareness into these areas, the tension seems to soften. Continue moving your awareness through your body in this way… touching your body with awareness, and allowing your body to soften.

Bring your awareness into your breath. Feel the gentle rhythm of your breath moving in and moving out. Recognize the life force, or vital energy that is present in your breath. This is the vital energy that sustains us all. As you invite the breath in, invite loving energy into your body and into your mind.

As you continue to breathe, invite the breath and the loving energy within the breath into your baby’s body and mind. Begin a stream of loving thoughts for your baby. My dear baby, I am so honored to be carrying you through this part of your journey. I am so blessed that you are here, inside me. I want you to know how deeply I love you. I want you to know that you are completely safe. I want you to know that my worries are not your worries. You have nothing to worry about. I will take care of you. You can relax and grow and know that I am here for you. My love for you is deep and vast. As I breathe in peace, I breathe peace to you, my dear one. And as I breathe out peace, together we send a blessing of peace to all mothers and babies. You are love and you are loved, and I cherish every moment with you, my dear little one.
