Gift Ideas
The holidays are just around the corner. What a great feeling it is to give a gift that you know someone is going to use. Do you have a golfer on your list, a family member or friend who takes exercise lessons at the pool or a grandchild who takes gymnastics lessons or wants to play on the City basketball league?

The Recreation Department offers a wide variety of gift certificates for classes and programs. The ever popular Community Fitness Center located in ABC Park offers one-month, three-month and six-month discounted passes and personal training services.

Mark your calendar for December 2nd from 3 – 7 p.m. for the annual Art Center Twilight Bazaar. The first 50 guests receive a free gift. Come meet the instructors and purchase some beautiful and unique gifts for the holidays at reasonable prices. All items for sale are the creation of our instructors and students. Gift items will be on sale until December 7th.

Again, I want to remind everyone that the Boulder City Art Center produces a variety of Christmas cards with original art work from our Fine Arts Students. The cards are available at the Art Center located at 801 Adams Boulevard and at the Boulder Dam Credit Union from November 28th – December 22nd. Donations are appreciated and will benefit the Boulder City Art Center. This is such a wonderful way to show your support and encouragement to our young artists.

Basketball clinics for boys and girls from 3rd through 8th grade take place January 8th and 9th. Please call the Recreation Department at 293-9256 for more information, or look for the flyer to come home from school. Pre-registration is required to attend the clinics. From the clinics, teams are formed and coaches assigned to a team. Practice times are determined by the coach and league play is expected to start the end of January or early February.

As the temperatures decrease, the demand for indoor recreation space increases. Please take a few moments to reserve your racquet/wallyball court; we don’t want anyone to be disappointed. In January, the Pool offers Santa’s weight loss challenge. For more information on courts or this event, please contact the Pool directly at 293-9286.
