Plan Your Investment Moves For The New Year

Here’s a New Year’s resolution to consider: Determine how any changes in your life in 2006 will affect your financial plans.

For example, if you’re adding a new child to your family, you’ll want to make sure you have sufficient life insurance. Also, it’s never too soon to set up a college fund, so you might want to open a Section 529 plan or a Coverdell Education Savings Account.

If you’re further along on life’s journey, and you’re planning to retire in 2006, you have some issues to consider. You may need to take distributions from your 401(k) or your IRA.
