A Kid's View

The Holidays
I hope your Halloween was as great as mine. It was a blast! I dressed as a “Graveyard Fairy” and I looked so cool. I went trick-or-treating in my neighborhood and got a whole bunch of candy, one pillowcase full.

But now it’s December so you know what that means. It is almost Christmas! I am so exited I wonder what I’ll get! I love Christmas because you get presents and new things! Every year my family goes to my Grandma’s and Grandpa’s house on Christmas Eve and we open stocking stuffers (just little presents). Then we all open one big present which is pretty much the biggest one. After that everyone goes home and waits ‘till Christmas Day. Sometimes I stay and spend the night and so do my g-g and pop-pop.
After we all get up on Christmas Morning, we eat breakfast and then open up all our gifts. When we are finished we all get dressed and get ready for everyone to come over. The turkey is already popped in the oven and all the Christmas stuff is out so we are ready to roll.
When the rest of the family comes over the men watch their football game while the ladies are outside talking, but usually I’m messing around with someone. This year my cousin Jeffrey is coming to town. He lives in Florida and hasn’t been here in a while so I’ll be happy to see him. There’s someone I can mess around with. Just kidding!
But every single year before we do all the Christmas stuff my Dad, Mom, and I go out and look at all the Christmas lights people put out. We stop at Sonic first to get a malt.
