Memories In The Making
Happy Holidays, Seasons Greetings and yes, Merry Christmas! In the great Las Vegas Valley, if we pine for snow we can visit Mt. Charleston for a great day adventure, or we can trek to the Las Vegas Strip to discover one of the reasons visitors are drawn there.
Boulder City Magazine®
|A premier example is the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, 3600 Las Vegas Boulevard South. Each season is celebrated with exotic plants and flowers grown right on their grounds. Seasonal colors highlight the Holiday display, accented with botanical textures and fragrances. Take advantage of incredible photo opportunities at this elegant display.
When you are ready to stroll on, check out the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art where classic photos by Ansel Adams are on display through early May 2007. Open daily from 9 am to 10 pm, they suggest calling for tickets and schedule deviations at 693-7871. Visit bgfa.biz for up to date gallery and exhibition information. Be sure to ask for your Nevada Resident Discount.
More spectacular decorations are on display at The Wynn, Caesars Palace, and virtually all the major Strip hotels. Playing tourist is fun, right in our backyard, so to speak!
Ralph Jones Display at Charleston and the Boulder Highway is another local treasure. Primarily a commercial display company, they have Christmas decorations galore and welcome retail customers. Even if you aren’t in the market to buy, the oohs and aahs are a terrific holiday experience worth the visit! Call 382-4398 for business hours.
Let’s not forget an evening outing right here in Boulder City. Our friends and neighbors spend hours decking out their homes with lighting and displays. What a wonderful town we have! Not every kid can say Mr. and Mrs. Santa live in their town. Thanks Mr. and Mrs. Putz!
NEAT NEVADA NOTES: We are the seventh largest state with 110,540 square miles encompassing 24 State Parks, Great Basin National Park, part of Death Valley National Park and the great Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
