BOULDER CITY HOSPITAL TO RECEIVE $300,000
Washington, D.C. - U.S. Representative Jon Porter (R-NV) announced the disbursement of the funding he secured nearly one year ago to begin the expansion of the Boulder City Hospital emergency room.
"Boulder City is a special community in Southern Nevada, and deserves the necessary facilities to meet the emergency and health services its citizens need," said Congressman Porter. "Today's announcement means that funding is now available for the Hospital."
Rep. Porter worked closely with House Energy and Water Appropriations Subcommittee Chairman David Hobson (R-OH) to assure this essential funding was initially included in the FY 04 Energy and Water Appropriations bill. "I appreciate the support of the Chairman Hobson who is pleased to see these funds dispersed after our efforts one year ago," added Porter.
